In the present time (2020), the whole world has been facing the crisis of pandemic due the virus COVID -19 from the early part of 2020. The COVID -19 has resulted in large scale impact on the people of all levels of our country in all fields including education. This has caused a new psychological stress among all. Earth had faced such crisis many times in the past. Evidences from history have proved that humanity has always evolved stronger and more stable while striving through any such crisis. In this context Department of Education of St. Vincent Pallotti College had organized a Webinar on ‘Psychological Resilience & Health Management: Respond, Recover and Thrive in the phase of New Normal’ on 14/07/2020.The key object of this webinar was to focus and boost strong mental and physical health and future adaptation for the forthcoming new normal phase.
The Keynote speaker was Prof. Girish Kant Pandey, Registrar PRSU. Other eminent speakers were Prof. Promila Singh, SOS Psychology, and Prof. Rajeev Choudhary, SOS Physical Education. Prof Promila Singh, in her elaborative speech ,highlighted the need of organized way of life and positive belief system, She also suggested many strategies to cope with stress. Prof Chaudhary excellently briefed the wide knowledge of yoga and immune system and then explained many roles of yoga in maintaining mental and physical health.
Nearly 2000 participants registered themselves and actively took part in the webinar. It observed a mindboggling and interesting question session after each presentation.
The whole online group was welcomed by the principal of the college Dr. Kuldeep Dubey. Vote of thanks was delivered by the vice- principal Dr. G. Padma Gouri.
